What was there?
Over 650 delegates attended Venturefest East 2016 to celebrate and showcase the innovation taking place in the region. Alongside leading keynote speakers was an array of exhibitors demonstrating the latest technology to give you an insight into what is ‘hot’ and what is ‘cutting-edge’ in the market.

Venturefest East is an event with multiple strands. In all rooms the seating is provided on a first come and first served basis and you may be asked to stand if sessions are busy. We aim to ensure everyone has a personal programme that suits them but if the room limit is reached please take advantage of the fantastic opportunities to talk to others, view innovation in the exhibition area and attend something new. There are opportunities for one-to-one sessions with a range of support agencies too. There is the final of the competition to unearth the best start-ups in the region.

Venturefest East 2016 was jointly supported and organised by: St Johns Innovation Centre (SJIC), The Greater Cambridge Greater Peterborough Enterprise Partnership (GCGP LEP) and New Anglia LEP.

Our National Sponsors, and creators of the Venturefest concept, are the UK’s innovation agency, Innovate UK, and the Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN), the UK’s Innovation Network. They work with people, companies and partner organisations to identify and drive the innovations that will grow the UK economy. Venturefest East has the primary focus of bringing together innovative businesses, entrepreneurs, funders and academia to help create connections and forge collaborations.

In 2017, the Greater Cambridge Greater Peterborough LEP will be leading the delivering of Venturefest East, with further information on sponsors and speakers due to be announced soon.
